Powering a Sustainable and Resilient Future

The IEEE PES ISGT Europe conference is a leading event focused on power grid modernization and the application of ICT to enhance energy systems, with an emphasis on integrating renewable and distributed energy resources. The 2025 conference will feature keynotes, plenary session, super and special sessions, influential industry representatives, industry exhibits and presentations, technical sessions and a job fair on smart grid innovations. Researchers, professionals, and students  worldwide are invited to submit papers and discuss the latest  advancements in grid modernization. The conference will be a great opportunity to network with international delegates.

The Organizing Committee of the IEEE PES ISGT Europe 2025 is pleased to invite proposals for tutorials to be held in conjunction with the conference, scheduled to take place in Malta from 20-23 October 2025. Tutorials will offer an excellent opportunity for experts from academia, industry, and research organizations to present in-depth knowledge and insights on cutting-edge topics related to innovative smart grid technologies.

Topics of Interest

Proposals for tutorials should align with the conference theme and scope. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Renewable energy integration and management
  • Smart grid architectures and standards
  • Digitalization and IoT applications in power systems
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in energy systems
  • Energy storage technologies and grid flexibility
  • Electric vehicle integration and charging infrastructure
  • Cybersecurity and privacy in power systems
  • Regulatory and market challenges for future grids
  • Decarbonization strategies and green energy transitions

Submission Guidelines

Tutorial proposals should include the following information:

  • Title: A clear and concise title for the tutorial.
  • Presenter(s): Names, affiliations, short biographies, and contact details of the tutorial presenters including bio photos.
  • Abstract: A brief description (maximum 300 words) of the tutorial’s content and objectives.
  • Target Audience: Indicate the intended audience, including their level of expertise (e.g., beginner, intermediate, expert).
  • Learning Objectives: Outline the key takeaways and skills that participants will gain from the tutorial.
  • Duration: Indicate whether the tutorial is designed for a half-day (3 hours) or full-day (6 hours) session.
  • Content Outline: A detailed outline of the tutorial’s structure, including session topics and approximate timing.
  • Audio-Visual Requirements: Specify any technical or logistical needs for the presentation.
  • Previous Deliveries: If applicable, list any conferences or events where the tutorial has been presented before.
  • Financial Support to the Conference: Specify whether the presenters or their organizations are able to provide financial support to the conference (e.g., covering their own travel and accommodation costs or contributing to conference sponsorship).

Evaluation Criteria

  • All proposals will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
  • Relevance to the conference themes and scope.
  • Clarity and quality of the proposal.
  • Expertise and experience of the presenter(s).
  • Expected interest and impact on the target audience.
